If you have enough juice in your gaming rig, the PC version of Death Stranding is the best way to experience it. The game is a well optimized port that many players will be able to enjoy due to its accessibility requirements. Even if you already enjoyed the game on the PS4, this is a good opportunity to revisit it. The Death Stranding port from PS4 to PC is a complete success. Sony, Kojima Productions and 505 Games had the intelligence to use the latest generation of the PS4 in terms of graphics.
You can take Sam to his Private Room to recover from fatigue. Once he’s in there the player can no longer control him but they can move the camera for various reactions. Hideo Kojima explains that it’s kind of like a “gal game” except it features the likeness of Norman Reedus as Sam Bridges. Basically, go watch the crazy trailers from a year ago, and feel what you feel in your heart. That feeling in your heart is what the game is, truly. Almost all people feel mild confusion and a hint of curious-but-not-curious-enough-about-the-rampant-weirdness.
Without your BB unit, you won’t be able to journey further west as the BT’s start to get more intense. Instead your goal for this chapter will be to form connections with locals found around and nearby Mountain Knot City. The Death Stranding Walkthrough includes each of the Orders for Sam, in the order they appear.

Death Stranding is one of a kind, cementing itself as a weird, wonderful masterpiece. You can find private rooms crafted by other players across the open-world, offering a temporary shelter in the face of danger for recharging all your precious resources. Venturing through Timefall and BTs is a dangerous game, and finding a place to call home amidst all of the chaos is a blessing I learned to appreciate again and again throughout Death Stranding. Cooperation feels wonderful, whether you’re returning packages to their owner or saving other porters from certain death.

It’s another level of kinship with your fellow porters. While you may be worlds apart, you share the same star signs and birthdays. That’s with an RTX 2080 Super, 16GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i7-9700K, running at 4K/60 fps. I’ve had no frame drops or frame pacing issues during play, and everything feels deliciously smooth and snappy. This is the first PC game to use Guerrilla’s Decima engine, and it’s an impressive showcase for it.
She’s very partial to JRPGs and the fetching of quests, but also loves strategy and turn-based tactics games and will never say no to a good Metroidvania. If you can deal with the Kojima-ness of it, though, the rest of Death Stranding is a real treat. It’s a fantastic open world to lose yourself in, and the way it asks you to assess and interact with its gorgeous landscape also makes it one of the most engaging open worlds to date. We never did review Death Stranding properly when it came out, but it was one of my favourite games of 2020, and our vid bud crew liked it a lot as well, so have a read and watch of those to find out more.
Without mod authors sharing their creations our modding community wouldn’t exist. As you know, many mod authors put countless hours into their mods, maintaining documentation for users, and supporting their mods. A few weeks ago we had a call with our friends at GOG who told us about a very special new release that was going to be exciting for our community.
The new system he’s referring to is the Strand system, which he hopes will spawn its own genre. It’s essentially a form of asynchronous multiplayer where players can have an effect on each other’s worlds without being there, such as leaving messages and equipment behind for others. “But this is a new genre – same as stealth the first time, there will be people who don’t get it. It will take time for the real evaluations to come in.” “In this game, I think you will not understand if I just say this, but once you start playing the game, just walking in that world is really fun,” he told Game Informer. Death Stranding takes on a whole new meaning in 2020, and it’s a story well worth revisiting or experiencing for the first time on PC. The PC version of Death Stranding is clearly the superior version as it’s better looking, but also offers more content, a new difficulty setting, and a few Easter eggs to Valve Software’s franchises. On the other hand the game’s initial drawbacks are still present, like that awful advertisement for an energy drink, or a messy UI. It is safe to say that Death Stranding achieves all its goals, in an impressive but not so perfect fashion. The PC port of the game offers everything that the PS4 version offered, and more.
Much like watching Lost or playing pretty much any JRPG, the overall narrative is just a means to an end. It’s a setup for creating dramatic, emotional moments. It’s not always easy to get to those moments, and you’ll have to suspend your disbelief quite often to fully enjoy them, but for a certain kind of player, that long, exhausting journey will be worth the effort. The same goes for many of the minor characters who have their own tragic backstories. Even some of the smaller moments add to this sense of humanity, whether it’s forcing Sam to take a shower after a long, gross journey or a button that lets you simply sit down and enjoy a moment of peace. The juxtaposition between goofy and dramatic lends the game its own particular flavor.
Right now players are working on building a full highway system. But these structures must be maintained or they deteriorate, and of course because it’s a shard you’re not bombarded with a million people’s things. You will inevitably save someone’s ass and they will save yours.

It enhances everything while intertwining perfectly with the narrative themes. As weird and silly as all of this can be, it does produce some truly human, touching moments. Despite their ridiculous names, the cast of Death Stranding is interesting and even lovable. I found myself pushing on late into the night to find out about Heartman’s quest to find Sudy his family, and I eagerly listened every time Deadman told me his latest research on the nature of BBs. It’s a surprisingly small group of main characters, considering this is a game that lasts dozens of hours, but each one feels well-developed in their own way. By the end, when everyone bands together Avengers-style, it’s genuinely touching.
While a lot is certainly going on in Death Stranding, especially narratively, it’s not afraid to be quiet. To leave the player alone for upwards of an hour to just do their thing. The simplest way Death Stranding’s walking mechanics work are in the objectives and micro-objectives that present themselves on any given trek.
The Game Awards created an entire category for them in 2022 due to the sheer number of projects like the Sonic movies or Sony’s many TV adaptations of their most popular franchises. Here is everything we know so far about the upcoming Death Stranding movie. If cadavers are allowed to fester in Death Stranding, they can cause all sorts of problems, such as increasing the population of ghosts. They’re actually kinda heavy and it’s potentially socially awkward to be wandering around with a corpse on your back.
